For Professionals

Refer a Client for Live-In Care

For hospital discharge teams, social workers, GPs, community nurses, solicitors and financial advisers supporting someone who wants to stay in their own home. Our Guildford team arranges live-in care across Surrey, Kent, West Sussex and East Sussex.

Call us or send a referral online and we’ll take it from there.

How a Referral Works

A straightforward process that keeps you informed and the person at the centre of every decision.
1

Send Your Referral

Call us or use the form below. A few details are enough to get started. Please only share personal information with the person’s consent.

2

We Speak With the Family

We contact the person or their family, talk through their needs, routines and preferences, and explain the costs clearly.

3

We Match a Carer

We introduce carers whose experience and personality suit the person. Every carer is interviewed and checked with an enhanced DBS, references and right to work.

4

Care Begins at Home

The carer moves in and we stay on hand to arrange cover, breaks and replacements. With consent, we’ll keep you updated.

Situations We Can Help With

Live-in care can suit people who want to stay at home but need more support than visiting care can give.

Returning Home From Hospital

A carer living in the home can support a safe discharge and help the person settle back into their daily routine.

Living With Dementia

Consistent, familiar support at home can help reduce confusion and keep daily life calm and predictable.

Couples Staying Together

One live-in carer can support a couple at home, so they don’t have to be separated by a move into care.

Respite for Family Carers

Short-term live-in care gives a family carer time to rest while their loved one stays safely at home.

Before You Refer

How our service works. We currently offer introductory live-in care: we find, vet and introduce a self-employed carer, and the family agrees the arrangement directly with them. We have applied to the CQC to offer a fully managed service and will add it once registration is approved.

Areas we cover. Surrey, Kent, West Sussex and East Sussex, from our branch in Guildford.

Costs. The carer’s fee starts from £1,090 per week, plus our agency fees. We explain all costs before anything is agreed. See live-in care costs and ways to fund live-in care.

Needs we can’t meet. Our live-in carers are not nurses, so we can’t currently take referrals for people who need regular nursing or clinical care at home. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you straight away.

Referral Questions

Yes, as long as the person agrees to the referral, or someone with legal authority, such as an attorney under a Lasting Power of Attorney, agrees on their behalf. We always involve the person in decisions about their care.

It depends on the person’s needs and where they live. Call us and we’ll give you an honest timescale straight away, including for hospital discharges.

Most people fund live-in care privately, sometimes with help from Attendance Allowance, local authority funding or NHS Continuing Healthcare. We can talk the family through their options.

The person’s name, how to contact them or their family, where they live and a brief outline of their needs. Please don’t send medical records through the website form. We’ll arrange a secure way to share anything further.

Yes, with the person’s or family’s consent. Let us know how you’d like to be kept informed when you make the referral.

Make a Referral

Tell us about the person you’re referring and how to reach you, including your role and organisation. Please only share personal details with the person’s consent. A member of our team will be in touch within 24 hours.
