Nurses, HCAs and support workers
- £200 for each nurse or midwife
- £100 for each Band 2 HCA or support worker
- Paid once they've worked 62.5 approved hours within six months of their first shift
Care homes, hospitals and services
- £200 for each new healthcare service
- Paid once 56 approved hours have been worked there
- The hours can be worked by you or any Medicare People worker

Referral questions
Who can I refer as a friend?
Any nurse, midwife, healthcare assistant (HCA) or support worker who is looking for agency work and has not worked with Medicare People in the last 12 months. You do not need to work for us yourself to refer someone.
When is the friend bonus paid?
Once your referral has become compliant and worked at least 62 hours and 30 minutes within six months of their first shift, with the hours approved by our clients. Contact your consultant within three months of them completing those hours to claim.
How much do I get for a friend?
£200 for each nurse you refer and £100 for each Band 2 HCA or support worker.
Which services can I refer as a client?
Any UK care home, nursing home, hospital or other healthcare service that could use temporary staff and has not used Medicare People in the last 12 months.
When is the client bonus paid?
Once the service starts using us and 56 hours have been worked there by you or any Medicare People worker, authorised by the client. Contact your consultant within three months of those hours to claim the £200. The scheme runs to 31 December 2026.
Do you tell my friend I referred them?
Yes, we will mention that you passed on their details, so they know why we are calling. Please make sure they are happy for you to share their name and number with us first.
