The Academy is our own online training for the carers, nurses and healthcare assistants who work with Medicare People.
Each course is split into short modules you can do on your phone or computer, wherever you are. Every module ends with a quick knowledge check, and when you pass the final test you get a certificate.
Your certificate goes straight into your compliance record with us, so there's nothing to upload and our team can see your training is up to date.

How fires start and spread, preventing fire in the home, smoke alarms and escape plans, and what to do if a fire breaks out.
Safeguarding Adults
Recognising abuse and neglect, and how to raise a concern.
Moving and Handling (theory)
The principles of safe moving and handling. The practical part is delivered face to face.
Infection Prevention and Control
Hand hygiene, protective equipment and stopping infections spreading.
Basic Life Support (theory)
What to do in an emergency, in theory. The practical part is delivered face to face.
Medication Awareness
Supporting people safely with their medicines.
Dementia Awareness
Understanding dementia and supporting people living with it.
The practical parts of Moving and Handling and Basic Life Support are delivered face to face. The online courses cover the theory only.
