About the Registered Nurse (RGN) job in Ryde
Medicare People is looking for Registered General Nurses in Ryde for temporary and urgent shifts that value your experience and professionalism. We work with nursing homes, care homes, private hospitals, NHS trusts and community services, and you choose the settings, specialisms and times that suit you.
Every shift we send you shows the start and finish times, the workplace address and the pay rate, so you can accept the shifts that suit you and turn down the ones that don't.
What you'll do
- Give safe, person-centred bedside care for both routine and complex needs
- Give medication and carry out clinical observations
- Wound care, catheter care and PEG feeding
- Manage patient caseloads and keep accurate records
- Work with carers and the wider team to deliver high-quality care
We have nursing opportunities available with block bookings offered.
For nurses living off the island, accommodation or arrangements to stay on the island during booked shifts can be discussed, helping to avoid daily ferry commutes.
Interested in block bookings? Get in touch to find out more.
What we offer
- £24–£28 an hour, depending on the setting, the shift and your experience (nights, weekends and bank holidays pay more)
- Weekly pay through PAYE: tax and National Insurance handled for you, clear payslips, no umbrella companies
- Workplace pension contributions
- Free scrubs and a professional ID badge
- Shift alerts in the Sync app: review new shifts, manage your availability and accept work in seconds
- Short-term shifts and long-term placements, in the settings and at the times that suit you
- Support with revalidation and keeping your NMC details up to date
What you'll need
- An active NMC PIN and your NMC Statement of Entry
- At least six months of UK nursing experience
- An enhanced DBS certificate (or we arrange a new one)
- Two professional references
- In-date mandatory training certificates (we can help you renew them)
- Proof of address
- The right to work in the UK
- A completed occupational health questionnaire
What happens after I apply?
- Fill in the form on this page and upload your CV
- Our team reviews your application and sends you a link to set up your secure Sync account
- Upload your compliance documents in Sync and see what is still needed
- Attend a short interview, online or in person
- Once approved, start receiving shifts that match your experience, availability and preferred settings
Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship: you must already have the right to work in the UK.
