About the Live-in Carer Job in Woking (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is looking for dedicated self-employed Live-in Carers in Woking to support people who wish to remain in their own homes rather than move into residential care. Through our introductory service, we match experienced carers with families seeking personalised support.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Woking, you'll provide one-to-one assistance tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, companionship, medication support, mobility assistance, and helping maintain daily routines.
This role enables you to deliver truly person-centred care while developing meaningful relationships with those you support. You'll play an important role in helping clients maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life at home.
We introduce self-employed carers to families throughout Woking and the surrounding areas, creating rewarding placement opportunities.
We are currently recruiting self-employed Live-in Carers for our introductory care service.

What you'll do
- Provide person-centred care within clients' homes
- Build meaningful relationships through companionship and emotional support
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming
- Support mobility and safe moving and handling
- Prepare meals and encourage nutrition and hydration
- Administer medication in line with care plans
- Support light household duties, including cleaning and laundry
- Run errands such as shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns appropriately
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals
- Keep accurate and detailed care records
- Deliver meaningful one-to-one support that promotes independence
What you'll bring
- At least 6 months of UK care experience
- A kind, caring and compassionate personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence working within clients' homes
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
- A commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
