About the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) job in Eastbourne

Requirements:
- We're looking for experienced HCA to support children and adults with complex care needs
- Females only
Experience with any of the following is desirable:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation support
- Suctioning
- Nebulisation
- Oxygen therapy
- Cough assist
- Peg feed and medication administration
- Epilepsy management
- Previous complex care experience is essential
- Valid drivers licence (ability to drive a manual van)

What you'll do
- Provide reliable, person-centred care across care settings
- Promote comfort, dignity, and independence
- Assist with personal care routines and mobility support
- Support nutrition, hydration, and everyday need
- Administer medication in line with care plans
- Observe and escalate changes in condition
- Assist with clinical tasks where required and trained
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment
- Work with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Build strong relationships with those in your care
- Flexible Healthcare Assistant (HCA) positions available in Eastbourne
- Minimum 6+ months’ UK experience as a HCA in a care home or nursing home
- A kind, calm, and patient approach to care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Confidence supporting a range of care needs within a care setting
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Understanding of dignity, respect, and safeguarding
- Ability to follow care plans and policies
- Good observation skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
