Medicare People is seeking kind and committed self-employed Live-in Carers in Cuckfield to support individuals who wish to remain living safely and independently in their own homes. Through our introductory live-in care service, we introduce experienced self-employed carers directly to families who are looking for ongoing one-to-one support for a loved one.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Cuckfield, no two placements are exactly the same. You'll work directly with clients and their families, providing personalised support based on individual needs and preferences. This may include personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication support, mobility assistance, and helping with everyday routines that make a real difference to someone's quality of life.

What you'll do
- Deliver personalised care and support at home
- Assist with washing, dressing and personal care routines
- Provide companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness
- Help clients move around safely
- Prepare meals and encourage regular hydration
- Administer medication according to care plans
- Support household tasks and laundry
- Help with shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing
- Maintain detailed and accurate care records
- Work alongside families and other professionals
- Promote dignity, wellbeing and independence
What you'll bring
- At least 6 months of UK care experience
- A kind, caring and compassionate personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence working within clients' homes
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
- A commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
