About the Live-in Carer Job in Surrey (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is looking for dedicated self-employed Live-in Carers in Surrey to support people who wish to remain in their own homes rather than move into residential care. Through our introductory service, we match experienced carers with families seeking personalised support.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Surrey, you'll provide one-to-one assistance tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, companionship, medication support, mobility assistance, and helping maintain daily routines.
This role enables you to deliver truly person-centred care while developing meaningful relationships with those you support. You'll play an important role in helping clients maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life at home.
We introduce self-employed carers to families throughout Surrey and the surrounding areas, creating rewarding placement opportunities.
We are currently recruiting self-employed Live-in Carers for our introductory care service.

What you'll do
- Deliver personalised care and support at home
- Assist with washing, dressing and personal care routines
- Provide companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness
- Help clients move around safely
- Prepare meals and encourage regular hydration
- Administer medication according to care plans
- Support household tasks and laundry
- Help with shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing
- Maintain detailed and accurate care records
- Work alongside families and other professionals
- Promote dignity, wellbeing and independence
What you'll bring
- Previous experience working in a care environment
- A caring and supportive nature
- Confidence supporting clients in their own homes
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- A flexible approach to different care needs
- A commitment to promoting dignity and independence
- Right to work in the UK
- Medication experience is desirable
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
