About the Live-in Carer Job in Billingshurst (Self-Employed)

As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Billingshurst, you'll provide one-to-one support tailored to each client's circumstances, preferences, and goals. Duties may include personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication support, mobility assistance, and help with maintaining daily routines.

What you'll do
- Support clients to remain independent in their own homes
- Provide person-centred care tailored to individual needs
- Assist with washing, dressing and personal care
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Help with mobility and daily routines
- Prepare meals and encourage hydration
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Support with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Complete shopping and other essential errands
- Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns
- Keep accurate care records
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals
What you'll bring
- A minimum of 6 months' UK care experience
- A friendly, caring and supportive nature
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence supporting clients within their own homes
- The ability to work independently and responsibly
- A flexible approach to care and changing needs
- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
- A commitment to dignity, respect and person-centred care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Previous live-in care experience is welcomed but not essential
