About the Live-in Carer Job in Lancing (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is recruiting dedicated self-employed Live-in Carers in Lancing to provide one-to-one care and companionship to people who wish to continue living in their own homes. Our introductory service connects experienced carers directly with families seeking reliable, long-term support for a loved one.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Lancing , you'll work closely with clients and their families to provide tailored care that reflects individual routines, preferences, and outcomes. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, medication assistance, companionship, mobility support, and helping clients remain active and independent.
This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact while building trusted relationships with those you support. You'll deliver personalised care in a home environment, helping clients maintain comfort, dignity, and control over their daily lives. Accommodation is provided during placements, with guidance available from the Medicare People team.
We introduce self-employed live-in carers to families throughout Lancing and the surrounding areas, creating rewarding placement opportunities for compassionate care professionals.

What you'll do
- Deliver high-quality live-in care within clients' homes
- Build trusting relationships with clients
- Support personal care and grooming routines
- Assist with mobility and moving around the home
- Prepare meals and drinks throughout the day
- Provide companionship and reassurance
- Administer medication in line with care plans
- Help keep the home clean, safe and comfortable
- Support with shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Monitor health and wellbeing
- Maintain clear and accurate care notes
- Work as part of a wider care team
What you'll bring
- At least 6 months of UK care experience
- A kind, caring and compassionate personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence working within clients' homes
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
- A commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
