About the Live-in Carer Job in Maidstone (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is looking for dedicated self-employed Live-in Carers in Maidstone to support people who wish to remain in their own homes rather than move into residential care. Through our introductory service, we match experienced carers with families seeking personalised support.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Maidstone, you'll provide one-to-one assistance tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, companionship, medication support, mobility assistance, and helping maintain daily routines.
This role enables you to deliver truly person-centred care while developing meaningful relationships with those you support. You'll play an important role in helping clients maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life at home.

What you'll do
- Support clients to remain independent in their own homes
- Provide person-centred care tailored to individual needs
- Assist with washing, dressing and personal care
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Help with mobility and daily routines
- Prepare meals and encourage hydration
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Support with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Complete shopping and other essential errands
- Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns
- Keep accurate care records
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals

- Previous experience working in a care environment
- A caring and supportive nature
- Confidence supporting clients in their own homes
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- A flexible approach to different care needs
- A commitment to promoting dignity and independence
- Right to work in the UK
- Medication experience is desirable
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
