About the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) job in Havant

Lightning‑fast onboarding: shifts start in 48 hours, subject to compliance.
- Supports adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, dementia, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments
- available for a minimum of 36 hours per week

What you'll do
- Provide compassionate care within healthcare environments
- Promote dignity, comfort, and independence
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs
- Support eating, drinking, and daily routines
- Administer medication in line with guidance
- Observe and report changes in health
- Assist with clinical duties where appropriate and trained
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Work collaboratively with families and care teams
- Maintain clear and accurate care records
- Build consistent and supportive relationships

What you'll bring
- At least 6 months’ UK experience in a care home or nursing home setting
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience supporting a variety of care needs
- Passion for delivering person-centred care
- Understanding of dignity and respect in care environments
- Ability to follow care plans accurately
- Good awareness of safeguarding and safety practices
