As a Complex Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Reading, you’ll provide attentive care to individuals with complex needs in a care home setting.
You’ll assist with daily living activities and clinical support tasks, always working to promote dignity, independence, and comfort.

- Females
- Minimum 12 months complex care experience
Trained in the following:
- Tracheostomy
- Nebulisation
- Suctioning
- Cough Assist
- Oxygen Therapy
- Epilepsy

What you'll do
- Provide high-quality complex care support
- Uphold dignity and independence
- Assist with washing and dressing
- Support movement and positioning
- Help with meals and hydration
- Administer and record medications
- Take and track observations
- Carry out ECG checks
- Support wound care needs
- Perform blood draws (phlebotomy)
- Conduct Doppler assessments
- Administer B12 injections when trained
- Offer emotional reassurance
- Maintain a safe environment
- Escalate health concerns
- Work with nurses and staff
- Record care clearly
What you'll bring
- Minimum 6 months UK experience as a Complex Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in a care setting
- A kind, professional and patient nature
- Clear communication skills
- Dependable and able to manage shifts independently
- Confidence working with complex clinical needs
- Passion for delivering safe and effective care
- Previous complex care experience desirable
- Tracheostomy trained
- Ventilator care trained
- PEG feeding trained
