As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Ferring , you'll work closely with clients and their families to provide tailored care that reflects individual routines, preferences, and outcomes. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, medication assistance, companionship, mobility support, and helping clients remain active and independent.

Accommodation is provided during placements, with guidance available from the Medicare People team.

What you'll do

• Provide one-to-one care within the client's home
• Support clients with personal care and hygiene needs
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities
• Prepare nutritious meals and encourage hydration
• Administer and record medication as required
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry
• Complete important errands when needed
• Monitor wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate daily care records
• Communicate effectively with families and professionals
• Promote independence and improve quality of life

What you'll bring

• Minimum 6 months' professional care experience in the UK
• A caring attitude and genuine desire to help others
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence working independently and managing your time
• Experience supporting clients with daily living activities
• Adaptability and a positive approach to care
• Reliability, professionalism and attention to detai
• A commitment to person-centred support
• Right to work in the UK
• Medication experience is desirable
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is welcomed but not essential
