About the Live-in Carer Job in Copthorne (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is looking for dedicated self-employed Live-in Carers in Copthorne to support people who wish to remain in their own homes rather than move into residential care. Through our introductory service, we match experienced carers with families seeking personalised support.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Copthorne, you'll provide one-to-one assistance tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, companionship, medication support, mobility assistance, and helping maintain daily routines.
This role enables you to deliver truly person-centred care while developing meaningful relationships with those you support. You'll play an important role in helping clients maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life at home.
We introduce self-employed carers to families throughout Copthorne and the surrounding areas, creating rewarding placement opportunities.
We are currently recruiting self-employed Live-in Carers for our introductory care service.

What you'll do
- Support clients to live independently in their own homes
- Provide high-quality person-centred care
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Help with mobility and everyday activities
- Prepare meals and support healthy hydration
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable home environment
- Complete shopping and other essential errands
- Monitor changes in wellbeing and report concerns
- Maintain clear and accurate care notes
- Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team
What you'll bring
- At least 6 months of UK care experience
- A kind, caring and compassionate personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence working within clients' homes
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
- A commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
