About the Live-in Carer Job in Ripley (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is recruiting experienced self-employed Live-in Carers in Ripley to support individuals who require ongoing care within the comfort of their own homes. Through our introductory care model, we connect carers directly with families looking for dedicated long-term support.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Ripley, you'll provide tailored assistance that enables clients to live safely and independently. This may include personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication support, mobility assistance, and helping with everyday household tasks.
This rewarding role allows you to build trusted relationships while delivering truly personalised care. You'll support clients to maintain familiar routines and enjoy greater independence while receiving the one-to-one care they deserve.
We introduce self-employed carers to families throughout Ripley and the surrounding areas, helping create successful long-term care arrangements.

What you'll do
- Support clients with everyday living tasks
- Provide person-centred care within their own homes
- Assist with personal care and grooming
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Help with mobility and daily activities
- Prepare meals and drinks
- Administer medication safely and correctly
- Carry out light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Support with shopping and other essential errands
- Monitor clients' wellbeing and report concerns
- Keep care notes up to date and accurate
- Help clients live comfortably, safely and independently at home
What you'll bring
- Experience providing care or support to others
- A compassionate and patient nature
- Confidence supporting clients on a one-to-one basis
- Strong communication and people skills
- The ability to adapt to changing needs and situations
- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
- A commitment to delivering outstanding care
- Experience working independently
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience with medication support is desirable
- Previous live-in care experience is welcomed but not essential
