What you'll do
- Provide comprehensive primary care consultations, assessments and health screenings for adult patients.
- Review medical histories, discuss health concerns and perform clinical examinations to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Arrange, interpret and act upon diagnostic investigations, referrals and follow-up care where appropriate.
- Prescribe medications and provide evidence-based advice on treatment options and ongoing health management.
- Deliver advanced health screenings, using extended appointment times to explore risk factors, health goals and preventative care strategies.
- Support patients in making positive lifestyle changes through education, coaching and personalised wellbeing plans.
- Perform clinical procedures including venepuncture, cervical smear tests and ECGs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic healthcare systems.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure outstanding patient care and outcomes.
- Promote preventative healthcare and encourage patients to take a proactive approach to their long-term health and wellbeing.
- Ensure all care is delivered in line with GMC standards, clinical governance requirements and best practice guidelines.
What you'll bring
- Full GMC registration and a licence to practise in the UK.
- Completion of GP Specialist Training and inclusion on the GMC GP Register.
- Experience delivering high-quality primary care services within a GP practice, private healthcare or similar clinical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
- A patient-centred approach and a genuine passion for preventative healthcare and lifestyle medicine.
- Confidence discussing health risks, wellbeing strategies and behavioural changes that support long-term health outcomes.
- Experience undertaking or willingness to perform procedures such as venepuncture, cervical smear tests and ECGs.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using electronic patient record systems.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and delivering care in line with current clinical guidelines and best practice.
- Private healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential.
