As a Complex Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Gillingham, you’ll provide high-quality support to residents with complex care needs in residential and nursing home settings.
You’ll follow structured care plans to assist with daily living, mobility, and enhanced clinical support, always maintaining dignity and respect. Your role will help residents live safely while maintaining as much independence as possible.

- Female
- Minimum 12 months complex care experience
Trained in the following:
- Tracheostomy
- Nebulisation
- Suctioning
- Cough Assist
- Oxygen Therapy
- Epilepsy

What you'll do
- Provide structured complex care support
- Promote dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Assist with personal care tasks
- Support mobility and safe handling
- Help with meals and hydration
- Administer medication as prescribed
- Monitor and record observations
- Carry out ECGs
- Support wound care and dressings
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures
- Perform Doppler checks
- Administer B12 injections (if trained)
- Offer reassurance and companionship
- Maintain a clean, safe environment
- Escalate changes in condition
- Work with nursing teams
- Maintain accurate records
What you'll bring
- Minimum 6 months UK experience in a Complex Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) role
- A patient, respectful and caring attitude
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
- Confidence with complex care delivery
- Passion for supporting vulnerable individuals
- Experience in specialist care settings desirable
- Tracheostomy care training
- Ventilation experience
- PEG feeding knowledge
