About the Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) job in Edenbridge
We're looking for warm, caring, and professional Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Edenbridge who are passionate about helping others live independently at home. Working in live-in care gives you the opportunity to provide dedicated one-to-one support while building genuine relationships with the people you care for.
In your role as a Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Edenbridge, you'll support clients with everyday activities, personal care, companionship, mobility assistance, and household tasks. Your support will help them remain safe, comfortable, and confident in familiar surroundings.
Whether you're seeking occasional placements or longer-term assignments, we provide flexible opportunities designed around your availability. You'll also benefit from ongoing support and guidance throughout your time with Medicare People.

What you'll do
- Support clients to remain independent in their own homes
- Provide person-centred care tailored to individual needs
- Assist with washing, dressing and personal care
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Help with mobility and daily routines
- Prepare meals and encourage hydration
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Support with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Complete shopping and other essential errands
- Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns
- Keep accurate care records
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals
What you'll bring
- A minimum of 6 months' UK care experience
- A friendly, caring and supportive nature
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence supporting clients within their own homes
- The ability to work independently and responsibly
- A flexible approach to care and changing needs
- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
- A commitment to dignity, respect and person-centred care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Previous live-in care experience is welcomed but not essential
