About the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) job in Bradford

Working as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Bradford, you’ll support adults with complex care requirements in residential and nursing homes.

You’ll deliver person-centred care aligned with individual care plans, assisting with everything from personal care to more specialised support, ensuring residents feel safe and respected.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team focused on maintaining high care standards throughout each shift.

Additional Requirements :

-Females only
-Shifts Times-10am to 3pm (Monday to Friday)
-PEG feeding and PEG care
-Moving and handling and hoist transfers
-Complex continence care
-Constant supervision and risk management
-Choking and aspiration-risk management
-Anaphylaxis and emergency response
-Medication support where required
-Complex learning disability support

  • Provide structured complex care support
  • Promote dignity, choice and wellbeing
  • Assist with personal care tasks
  • Support mobility and safe handling
  • Help with meals and hydration
  • Administer medication as prescribed
  • Monitor and record observations
  • Carry out ECGs
  • Support wound care and dressings
  • Assist with phlebotomy procedures
  • Perform Doppler checks
  • Administer B12 injections (if trained)
  • Offer reassurance and companionship
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Escalate changes in condition
  • Work with nursing teams
  • Maintain accurate records

What you'll bring

  • At least 6 months UK Healthcare Assistant (HCA) experience in a facility setting
  • A compassionate and calm personality
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable with good time management
  • Confidence supporting residents with complex needs
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Experience in complex or clinical care settings preferred
  • Tracheostomy trained
  • Ventilation trained
  • PEG feeding experience
