About the Live-in Carer job in Handcross
At Medicare People, we're seeking dedicated Live-in Carer in Handcross to deliver compassionate live-in care and support to individuals in their own homes. This role is ideal for caring professionals who enjoy providing personalised support and helping people maintain their independence.
As a Live-in Carer working in Handcross, you'll provide tailored assistance based on each client's unique requirements. Responsibilities may include personal care, preparing meals, offering companionship, supporting social activities, and helping with everyday routines.

What you'll do
- Support clients to live independently in their own homes
- Provide high-quality person-centred care
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Help with mobility and everyday activities
- Prepare meals and support healthy hydration
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable home environment
- Complete shopping and other essential errands
- Monitor changes in wellbeing and report concerns
- Maintain clear and accurate care notes
- Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team
What you'll bring
- Minimum 6 months of professional UK care experience
- A caring, kind and compassionate nature
- Good communication and people skills
- Confidence working independently within a client's home
- Experience supporting individuals with a range of care needs
- A reliable and professional approach
- Flexibility to travel for placements
- A commitment to delivering high-quality person-centred care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential
