About the Live-in Carer job in Canterbury
Medicare People is recruiting compassionate and dependable Live-in Carer in Canterbury to provide high-quality live-in care for people who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes. As a Live-in Carer in Canterbury, you'll provide personalised support tailored to each client's needs, including personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication prompts, and assistance with daily routines. Every day brings the chance to make a meaningful and lasting difference.

With placements available across Canterbury and surrounding areas, we'll work closely with you to find opportunities that match your skills and preferences.

What you'll do
- Support clients with everyday living tasks
- Provide person-centred care within their own homes
- Assist with personal care and grooming
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Help with mobility and daily activities
- Prepare meals and drinks
- Administer medication safely and correctly
- Carry out light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Support with shopping and other essential errands
- Monitor clients' wellbeing and report concerns
- Keep care notes up to date and accurate
- Help clients live comfortably, safely and independently at home
What you'll bring
- At least 6 months of UK care experience
- A kind, caring and compassionate personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence working within clients' homes
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
- A commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
