About the Live-in Carer Job in Surrey (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is recruiting experienced self-employed Live-in Carers in Surrey to support individuals who require ongoing care within the comfort of their own homes. Through our introductory care model, we connect carers directly with families looking for dedicated long-term support.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Surrey, you'll provide tailored assistance that enables clients to live safely and independently. This may include personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication support, mobility assistance, and helping with everyday household tasks.
This rewarding role allows you to build trusted relationships while delivering truly personalised care. You'll support clients to maintain familiar routines and enjoy greater independence while receiving the one-to-one care they deserve.
We introduce self-employed carers to families throughout Surrey and the surrounding areas, helping create successful long-term care arrangements.
We are currently recruiting self-employed Live-in Carers for our introductory care service.

What you'll do
- Provide person-centred care within clients' homes
- Build meaningful relationships through companionship and emotional support
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming
- Support mobility and safe moving and handling
- Prepare meals and encourage nutrition and hydration
- Administer medication in line with care plans
- Support light household duties, including cleaning and laundry
- Run errands such as shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns appropriately
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals
- Keep accurate and detailed care records
- Deliver meaningful one-to-one support that promotes independence
What you'll bring
- A minimum of 6 months' UK care experience
- A friendly, caring and supportive nature
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence supporting clients within their own homes
- The ability to work independently and responsibly
- A flexible approach to care and changing needs
- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
- A commitment to dignity, respect and person-centred care
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience administering medication is desirable
- Previous live-in care experience is welcomed but not essential
