About the Live-in Carer Job in Littlehampton (Self-Employed)
Medicare People is recruiting dedicated self-employed Live-in Carers in Littlehampton to provide one-to-one care and companionship to people who wish to continue living in their own homes. Our introductory service connects experienced carers directly with families seeking reliable, long-term support for a loved one.
As a self-employed Live-in Carer in Littlehampton , you'll work closely with clients and their families to provide tailored care that reflects individual routines, preferences, and outcomes. Duties may include personal care, meal preparation, medication assistance, companionship, mobility support, and helping clients remain active and independent.
This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact while building trusted relationships with those you support. You'll deliver personalised care in a home environment, helping clients maintain comfort, dignity, and control over their daily lives. Accommodation is provided during placements, with guidance available from the Medicare People team.
We introduce self-employed live-in carers to families throughout Littlehampton and the surrounding areas, creating rewarding placement opportunities for compassionate care professionals.

What you'll do
- Deliver personalised care and support at home
- Assist with washing, dressing and personal care routines
- Provide companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness
- Help clients move around safely
- Prepare meals and encourage regular hydration
- Administer medication according to care plans
- Support household tasks and laundry
- Help with shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing
- Maintain detailed and accurate care records
- Work alongside families and other professionals
- Promote dignity, wellbeing and independence
What you'll bring
- Previous professional care experience is preferred
- A caring, patient and compassionate nature
- Confidence working independently within a client's home
- Strong communication and listening skills
- The ability to adapt to different clients and care needs
- Reliability and a professional attitude
- A commitment to delivering person-centred care
- Experience supporting people with daily living activities
- Right to work in the UK
- Medication administration experience is desirable
- Live-in care experience is welcomed but not essential
