As a Children's Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in London, you’ll support young people with complex medical needs in a SEND-focused school environment. Your role will combine healthcare support with promoting participation in education.
You’ll deliver both one-to-one and classroom-based care, assisting with tracheostomy management, diabetes support, and other needs, following care plans while remaining flexible to changes.
You’ll play an important part in maintaining a safe, engaging, and supportive school setting.
A UK driving licence is required, and you can tailor shifts to your availability, including school-hour roles.

What you'll do
- Provide hands-on support to students
- Deliver 1:1 care where required
- Assist with tracheostomy and complex needs
- Follow care plans consistently
- Support feeding, mobility, and routines
- Work within a multidisciplinary team
- Encourage independence and interaction
- Monitor and respond to health needs
What you'll bring
- Background in care, schools, or as a Children’s Healthcare Assistant
- Confidence assisting with tracheostomy care (training provided)
