Referral Terms & Conditions 2024

Definitions

Compliant: A candidate who has successfully passed Medicare People’s full registration and compliance checks and is eligible for agency work.

Referral: A person who has never worked for Medicare People, or someone who has not worked with us within the last 12 months (a “New Worker”).

Referral Bonus: A £200 cash bonus for each Nurse referred, and £100 for each Band 2 Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker referred.

Referral Date: The date Medicare People receives the referral details.

Referrer: The person submitting the referral.

Qualifying Criteria: Conditions that must be met before a referrer becomes eligible for payment.

Scheme: Medicare People’s official Refer a Friend programme.

Temporary Placements: Short‑term, seasonal, or casual work assignments.

Worker: An individual who has previously worked for Medicare People.

Scheme Overview

Our Refer a Friend scheme rewards referrers who introduce qualified Nurses, Midwives, HCAs, Support Workers, and ODPs interested in temporary agency work in the UK. To receive a bonus, the referral must successfully complete the required working hours with Medicare People.

Qualifying Criteria

1. Referral Submission

Referrals can be submitted via phone, email, post, or through the online referral form on the Medicare People website. Our consultants will then contact the referral to begin their registration and secure placements.

2. Eligible Professions

Referrals must be qualified in one of the following roles:

• Nurse
• Midwife
• HCA
• Support Worker

3. Worked Hours Requirement

The referral must complete:
A minimum of 62 hours and 30 minutes within 6 months of starting their first shift after becoming compliant.
These hours must be approved and verified by Medicare People clients.

Referral Bonus Payment

Bonus Amounts

£200 for each Nurse referral
£100 for each HCA or Support Worker referral

How to Claim

Referrers must claim their bonus within three months of the referral completing the required hours by contacting their consultant.

Payment Release

The bonus is paid only once:

All qualifying criteria are met
The referrer submits a payment request

General Terms

Medicare People reserves the right to refuse a referral bonus payment if:

• The referral has registered within the last 12 months
• The referral does not meet qualifying criteria
• The referral is already working for Medicare People
• There is any other reasonable justification

We may also:

• Amend the scheme’s terms at any time
• Withdraw or replace the scheme without compensation
• End the scheme without processing outstanding claims
